About Golden State Bee Rescue

Local Beekeeping. Practical Rescue. A Place for Bees to Go.

Golden State Bee Rescue was established in Placerville, California, in 2015. We began by managing honey bee colonies in the local area and responding when bees arrived where people did not want them. That work created a simple ongoing need: every colony that can be rescued needs a responsible place to go.

Today, we help homeowners, businesses, property managers, farms, and landowners respond to honey bee swarms and established colonies. Our goal is to assess each situation honestly, remove bees when practical, and relocate suitable colonies into managed hive equipment.

We are always looking for appropriate places to keep and manage bees. If you have a farm, orchard, vineyard, rural property, or other potential hive location, we would like to hear from you.

How We Work

Respond Clearly

Tell people what the situation appears to be, what information is still needed, and what the next step involves.

Rescue When Practical

Approach honey bees as living colonies worth saving while respecting property access and human safety.

Manage Responsibly

Relocation is not the end of the work. Rescued bees need appropriate equipment, placement, and continued management.

Stay Local

Remain connected to Placerville, the Sierra foothills, and the communities the company serves.
